A Hayabusa's around $12k new. 'lightly modified' on a bike usually means a K&N high flow air and oil filter, a header-back 4-2-1 exhaust, and a lightly-tuned stage one jet kit, for carburetors, or a 'PowerCommander' ECU tune. Very very few people ever go beyond that, which made perfect sense to me when I had my Kawasaki ZX6. I couldn't keep up with a 'busa, but I could still knock out 11 second 1/4 times bone stock. The new ZX-10R from Kawi is about 100 lbs lighter than the Hayabusa (365 versus 460 or so), and has more horsepower (184 at the crank), and has most of the physical dimensions of a 600cc mid-class sportbike, except it's about a half inch taller. It's all too insane for me.
